Book FAQ
Where can I read your books? +
My books are split across platforms. Tatum Vale titles are available on Amazon, and most are in Kindle Unlimited.T. Vale titles are not on Amazon and can be found on Smashwords and Payhip (direct from my website).
What’s the difference between Tatum Vale and T. Vale? +
Tatum Vale and T. Vale are separate pen names for different types of stories. Tatum Vale books are Amazon-safe queer romance. T. Vale books explore more taboo themes and are published outside of Amazon.
Do I need to read your books in order? +
You can read some books on their own, but series are written with continuity in mind. If you’re starting Vipers: Forbidden Ice you can read them as standalones.
Are your books dark romance? +
Some of them fall into dark romance. My books lean into complicated dynamics, messy decisions, and high emotional stakes. If you’re unsure about specific content, check the content notes before reading.
Do your books include content warnings? +
Yes. Content notes are available for each book so you can make your own call before reading. You can find a full list for each book here on the website.
How can I get early access or ARC copies? +
ARC opportunities are shared first to Rainwood Hollow, my blogger list. But most releases have ARC sign ups shared to Instagram and my newsletter.
How can I stay updated on new releases? +
The best way is via instagram or through my newsletter. I also share updates in my reader group, The Rainwood Grove.
Will your taboo books ever be available on Amazon? +
No. Due to platform restrictions, those titles are available through other platforms and not on Amazon.
What tropes do you write? +
It depends on the story, but I usually come back to: Forbidden dynamicsRivalryPower imbalanceRelationships that get messy fast
Are your books HEA or HFN? +
This depends on the story. Most lean toward HEA or HFN, but not every ending is clean. Check the book details if you need specifics. If the book doesn’t have a HEA it will always be listed clearly in the Author’s Note.
Do you offer signed copies or special editions? +
Not currently. I am open to it in the future. If it changes, I’ll share about it on Instagram and via my newsletter.

Tatum Vale | Queer Romance Author | About Tatum

Tatum Vale writes queer romance where desire makes a mess and nobody gets to pretend it didn’t.Tatum writes under a pen name and keeps a clear line between the words and everything outside it. The stories come first, and everything else stays separate. Most of the time is spent writing, editing, or figuring out what comes next, usually with something playing in the background and a dozen ideas sitting half-finished.Some stories are taboo, written under T. Vale. They aren’t on Amazon and are available on Smashwords and my website. They go further into the parts of desire that aren’t usually spoken about, the messier edges, the uncomfortable parts, without softening them or looking away.Their stories blend sharp chemistry with emotional chaos, built on bad decisions, close calls, and connections that escalate, collide, and leave marks. Writing MM, sapphic, and polyamorous romance across both standalone titles and interconnected series, Tatum focuses on characters who push too far, feel too much, and don’t walk away unchanged. The settings stay grounded, but what happens in them doesn’t. Relationships tangle, boundaries blur, and things don’t stay simple for long. Whether it’s something quieter and more contained or something that leans harder into the fallout, the core stays the same: connection that complicates everything and lingers long after. When not writing, Tatum lives in late nights, loud feelings, and curiosity that doesn’t behave. Most ideas start with a song on repeat, a moment, or a character that won’t leave, and build from there into something harder to ignore.
